Turn into a resourceful state to win

The real difference between those who fail and those who win lies is in their states. Those who succeed put themselves almost always in a supportive state and those who fail in a failure state.  As behaviour is the result of the sate we are in, it thus becomes essential that we create an appropriate state always. Our thoughts, self talk, the images we keep (internal representations) and physiology create the states we are in. How you behave to your wife who comes very late will depend on how you ‘pictured’ what she did during the time. If you thought she could be involved in an accident, you would welcome her with affection. But if you pictured her being unfaithful to you, your behavior would be one of anger, frustration or revenge.
An event is perceived as per your personality (a sum total of your experiences so far). We do not know how things truly are but how we represent them to ourselves.  We need to make them empowering and not weakening ones. We need to store more empowering representations to create confident states. Why not  focus on all the things that will work instead of concentrating on what will not? Whatever be the situation, you can see good things in it as successful people do.

If you feel that is not going to work, be sure it won’t. If you feel it can work it will. We all have our own way of seeing things around. It will all depend on our map or the sum total of our experiences. If you have been focusing on all the bad things so far, you will see the chances of failures or problems in anything you attempt and you come into a state that supports failure. You have to practice representing things in a better way as our behavior depends on how we perceive things.

Every day you can tell yourself ‘today is the day.’ At the end of the day tell ‘tomorrow is the day.’  When you say these try to be in an expectant and happy state of mind. Whatever you feel and believe puts you in a state to translate it into reality. You can also try to be in a positive body physiology all the time: sit, stand, walk erect holding your head up, practice drawing back your shoulders and breathing deeply and dressing smartly.  Make it a practice to go through the confident and successful experiences you have had.  These will induce a highly resourceful state making you feel everything is good and anything is possible.

A key to achieve excellence

As we all share the same neurology-brain and nervous system-if anyone can do anything in the world, you can do it too. If something is possible for others it is possible for you too. The only requirement (not an easy one) is that you have to run your nervous system exactly the same way as the one who succeeded.  We should know how he produced the result. Anything any human being does can be modelled. We should know how the person through years of trial and error has come to use his body and mind and know the patterns of action that produced the result.
Any human excellence can be duplicated in a very short time. If anyone is producing a result you desire, start learning how he or she is using his or her body and neurology to produce the result. You can learn to seize the excellence and make it your own. Building from the successes of others is much easier than trying to figure it out all by you through years of toil.

If you want to become rich, wealthy or famous find a model who has already excelled in the area.. The first step is to track down all the clues from the model by thorough observation and by asking a lot of questions. Find out what he did when he produced the great result. Know the person’s belief system. What he thinks is possible or impossible. Make your beliefs the same. Know how he/she organizes thoughts.  The syntax or a particular order he follows in any of his thought process or communication is to be understood and followed.
Adopt his physiology; adopt the way he breathes and holds his body, his postures, facial expressions, dressing and grooming. Adopt also his voice patterns, (the speed, pitch, tone and volume of his voice)
Study the proven ways in which he succeeded and duplicate it. Read everything you can to read about him,  study his  beliefs and model their strategies.  Be in the neurophysiological state the model is before he accomplishes anything great. He could not have been in a confusing, fearful or sad state. He must have felt confident, strong and certain. Understanding the state and duplicating it is the key to achieve excellence.

Quality of your life is the quality of your movements

Researcher, Moshe Feldenkrais has shown that if your body is working at peak levels your brain will work more effectively as well .By changing the way you move you can change the way of your self-image. How do you improve your physiology? Study a person who has succeeded or is powerful. . How does he sit, stand, and move? What are some of his key facial expressions and gestures? Mirror his body-state and make similar facial expressions. Mirror the way he holds his head, arms and hands, and his movements. You will feel the same way he does.  When you model his specific physiologies, you tap into the same resourceful part of the brain. Even reading a book by a great man like Lincoln or Gandhi can put you in a state similar to theirs. To get the inner power of someone successful, model and duplicate their physiology, expressions and voice patterns. If you start speaking like a powerful guy, you can feel and get some power into your words.
Norman Cousins describes how he laughed his way to health from a debilitating illness in his book, ‘Anatomy of an illness’. He spent a good deal of his time immersed in films, TV programs and books which made him laugh. Continuous laughter changed his body state which sent pleasant messages to the brain and nervous system. Laughing and smiling set off a biological process which make us feel good. Facial expressions do change feelings. If you laugh at suffering, you don’t feel suffering inside.
Physiology and thoughts are linked. Change one and instantly the other changes. You see the world quite differently when you have rested or is confident than when you are sick, tired, have pain somewhere  or goes through a failure.  When your body-state brightens up your mind echoes it. When it is weak and tired your mind reflects the same too. You can change your mental set-up by changing your physiology and vice versa.
A depressed guy walks with his eyes down, dropping his shoulders, taking shallow breaths and telling all negatives to himself internally. Without this sort of a body physiology one cannot be depressed at all. You can easily come to a confident state by changing your physiology: stand up tall and erect, throw your shoulders back, breathe deeply, look up and immediately you feel confident. . One can become diffident or confident at will through the control of one’ s physiology. All human behavior is the result of the sate we are in. When we feel strong and resourceful we will attempt anything. When we feel weak, sad or tired we shrink from trying.  Bring yourself to a confident physiological state before attempting something difficult, or meeting a person you have taken a fancy to, or your tough boss. If you feel you are very much tired, short of breath and panting, stand upright and direct your breathing normally and feel the relief in seconds.

5 ways to guarantee success

Everyone of us wants to be happy,  appreciated, keep good relations, make enough bucks and be a success in whatever we do. Here are 5 things which will ensure your success 100%. Let it be a check-list and go through them before going to bed. If you can say yes to all of them for 2 months uninterruptedly ( by which time a habit would be established) and you just make sure the momentum is maintained to guarantee your success.
1.       Body physiology has a lot to do with what you are going to become (Antony Robbins feels success is 80% physiology, and 20% emotions). Take care to sit, stand, walk erect holding your head straight or slightly inclined up  and ensure your movements are brisk and at a faster pace always.
2.       Do what you are supposed to do today itself and do it the best way you can. Let your attitude be; ‘ do more than you are paid for.’ Learn everything about your present  job aiming at a higher position within a particular period.
3.       Be always smartly dressed and groomed at home and at work.
4.       Do at least one help to someone without expecting anything in return a day or make sure you have a small win before you retire.Try to make your dear ones happy each day in whatever way you can including little sacrifices.
5.       Spend your free time  learning more about your job or profession and make sure you invest  time in yourself each day to add value to yourself in the market place.

Modelling for success

Through modelling you can replicate the desirable skill or behaviour of any one. What the person has acquired in a long period of time can be appropriated by you in a much shorter time and hence the whole process is accelerated learning.
Richard Bandler and John Grinder gives the pragmatic ways to replicate and produce the desirable skills or behavior. They modeled the strategies of Virginia Satir and duplicated her extraordinary results in family therapy. What Bandler and Grinder did differently was to find the thinking strategies she was using while copying behaviors. Many others like Anthony Robbins have adopted their techniques and modeled others successfully.
Merely copying one’s behavior may not be enough; one has to assimilate core beliefs, and thought process while matching his physiology, and the motor skills.  You should know the person extremely well in the particular setting.  Pick up the pattern of their behaviors at an unconscious level and 'tune in' your motor-skills to theirs or  replicate his patterns of muscle movements, physical postures and gestures, and a number of other minute muscle movements without any rationalization and then you can have the same degree of skill or replicate his behavior in that setting.
Children model elders-they are natural modelers. They do not have any expectation or anxiety of the outcome or consequences of their modeling and they succeed at a phenomenal rate. They learn a language from the early developmental environment. In the school he/she is exposed to learning information through instruction. This is a new learning system and the child develops appropriate strategies. As he becomes an adult he has already ingrained certain learning methods.  Modeling re-teaches a person how to learn effectively without the involvement of any conscious learning system.
In the case of a child, the learning of a set of skills and techniques is without any rationalization or any conscious intervention. The modellee simply models the person blindly to develop the necessary skills, behaviors, motor skills and unconscious processes that the other person has without trying to interpret what they do. You do not try to understand what you want to learn consciously but you simply try to mirror and match the person in his physiology, dressing and grooming, voice patterns, thoughts and the why of his behaviour and actions.
