Focus and success

Why do some people achieve the same results in 30 hours for which others take 45 or more? It is simply attention. Result is directly proportional to focus. The more the thinking and actions you do in pursuit of your goals the more the success you experience. When you start focusing on a task, your mind starts to offload solutions, procedure and everything required to complete the task.  When your focus is distracted you do not get the desired result.

Apple succeeded in a great measure simply because it focused on a few products and ignored so many other great ideas. It is simple to succeed in life: have a clear mission and focus on it constantly. Get continued focus and clear success.  Controlling the time at hand is a necessary tool to learn to focus. Most of us live as if we have all the time in the world. We have very limited time.  If we do a time analysis from the moment we wake up to that we retire we would find a number of wasted or idling hours.

We all have the same 24 hours each day. What makes a successful person different from a mediocre one is the way each spends these 24 hours. Do not waste this precious commodity by indulging in the trivial. Many of us just do the emergencies and simply ‘fill in’ the rest of the day. We postpone actions required to get our aims to a later day which never comes. When the grey twilight begins to fall we conveniently forget about these goals we had cherished to achieve.

To know what things are to be done we should clearly have a concept of what we need not do at all.  Concentrate your time only for those activates that will advance you to your mission. Peter Trucker says: “There is nothing as useless as doing efficiently what should not be done at all.”  Remember what Confucius said long back, ‘if you chase two rabbits you catch neither.” You can catch one by focusing on one. The secret of success is focus.
